Subject: 2010 Joe Bucher Blues Fest “A Night Of Blues & BBQ”

The 12^th annual Joe Bucher Blues Fest was a possibly the best blues fest of them all.    Great music, awesome food, and a huge selection of door prizes and silent auction items kept a huge crowd happy all night long.   In fact, the happy crowd was still packed around the sound stage at well past 10 pm when Joe Bucher & The Topraiders came up for their 2nd encore.   Playing their signature encore rendition of "Peter Gun", The Topraiders wowed the crowd with fantastic solos from the entire brass section to finish the night.

Earlier in the evening, "On The Spot" (blues band) from Calumet opened the evening with a rockin' set.   They were followed up by Rhinelander's "The Usual Suspects" who also had an excellent performance with some superb harmonies as well as some excellent blues harp solos. 

The Memphis Smoker Team was busy cooking ribs, pork butts, corn-on-the-cob and a secret baked bean concoction from 3pm until well past midnight.  

However, perhaps the biggest success was the actual $ raised for The Northland Pines Youth Football & Cheerleading Organization.   Unofficially, all fund raising records were broken with proceeds topping the $22,000 mark!

Joe Bucher's Blues Fest is  always held the last saturday in July.  Look for news of next year's event with an even bigger line up of blues bands, food and prizes.
